The water flow (pressure) of my Hydro Floss® is not as strong as it should be. What should I do?

Replace your irrigating tip (Everyday, Implant/Ortho or Pocket Pal tip) with a tip that has never been used.

The opening in the end of the tip is the smallest opening that water passes through and any buildup of minerals, debris, etc. can have a negative affect on the water pressure.

Make sure there is a firm connection between the reservoir and the base of the unit.

Check for:

1. White plastic disk (reservoir plug) in the bottom of the reservoir, and

2. Black o'ring on the bottom of the reservoir (on the part that is inserted into the base)

If either of these is damaged or missing the irrigator will not be able to pump at full pressure.

Replacement o'rings and reservoir plugs may be purchased at the following link - REPLACEMENT O'RINGS & RESERVOIR PLUGS

If the o'ring on the bottom of the reservoir is intact and is not damaged, it is possible that it has dried out and cannot slide fully into the base.

Rub a very small amount of cooking oil (any food grade oil) on the o'ring. This will allow the reservoir to fit fully down into the base and create a better connection between the reservoir and the base.

If these suggestions do not improve the pressure, your Hydro Floss® will need to be returned to us for repair. See the question, "Can my Hydro Floss® be repaired?" for return instructions.

The water supply line (white hose) between the base and handle is leaking or has developed a hole. Can it be replaced?

Yes, the hose between the handle and base of the Hydro Floss® can be replaced. The hose and handle are manufactured as one piece and the cost to replace the hose/handle assembly is $32.00, this includes parts, labor and shipping. Please note this is only an estimate. Without examining the irrigator, we cannot give you an exact cost for its repair.

Repairs for irrigators that are less than one year old will be covered under warranty (proof of purchase required). If the irrigator is no longer under warranty the cost to replace the motor is $34.50, this includes parts, labor and shipping. Please note this is only an estimate.
